Welcome to the 11th Annual Rossland Mountain Film Festival proudly supported by the members of Rossland’s community branch of the Nelson & District Credit Union. The Festival will take place over 4 days from November 18th-21nd. Thank you to the community and enjoy the celebration of film and mountain culture.

Mountain Culture Photo Exhibit

Cost: Free
See the Kootenays through the still lens of photographers.  This exhibit will display the latest still works from local shutterbugs all weekend. Select photos will be available for sale during the festival.

Emerging filmmakers under 19 showcase their work in this afternoon all ages event. Pre-screening open panel discussion on 'The role of technology in youth’s lives' and live music performance during intermission.

 

Workshop - Journey of an Adventure film maker with Christian Begin

Saturday November 20, 10am -12 noon Booty’s Den, Rock Cut Pub
Cost: $20
Filmmakers’ workshop with Christian Begin, a filmmaker with 20 years experience.  Come learn in this interactive workshop about the technical aspects and the personal drive required to make a successful career in filmmaking.  Amassing quite the curriculum vitae over the years, he was recently nominated for best cinematography and best documentary for Cart of Darkness.
